Yes pennyfarthing, myself & OH been doing the 5:2 since last January, I'm 4lb away from 3 stone weight loss. Definately works for me! I fast 800 cals on a Sunday & Monday. x

Wow, 'that's amazing Foxylady.  I must look into this. Thanks.

Congrats Foxy well done.   :medal:
Do you find it hard, or are you used to it now?
I must admit, I admire anyone who can stick with it and lose a bit of weight.
Ive no will power at all!  ::)

Thanks Ladies. PF the fast books by Dr Michael Mosley are fab as is the website. There is a health journal just out too, I bought it last week ?5 in supermarket! December has knocked me off course a bit, too many meals, lunches, choc's etc so did put on 7lbs but had lost 3lb of it last week. Im definately an emotional eater so I need to be in the right frame of mind but I am determined to keep at it as I am enjoying how I feel in smaller size & long term health benefits def a factor to keep me motivated!
Turkey stir fry for tonight! x

Today I am cooking a roast chicken dinner for everybody except me. I start a fasting diet today as I have to have a colonoscopy on Wed.  I can have the chicken but no potatoes, no veg etc.  I can have some white rice though.  I have a big jar of mincemeat left from Xmas and I am going to make a mincemeat tart for dessert .... again, not for me!  :'(

That's a few days ahead PF  ::).  Will the bowel cleanse in that time?

DH found  :-* some pigeon at the bottom of the freezer, pan fried with diced cabbage and Fen-grown carrots with chips.   I couldn't eat all mine so have one breast left to chop and stir fry tomorrow.

Stuffed now.
