Morning ladies *waves*
Just an update...
I posted a month or so back to say I was intolerant of progesterone in a big way, and my GP referred me to NHS Menopause clinic as she felt I had tried 2 types of HRT and it wasn't working "on to herbal preparations for you"

I planned to see a private specialist but in the absence of any fairly close to home (live in mid Wales) I decided to hang fire for the NHS clinic appt, and planned to go private after that if I found it unhelpful.
Well, I went to the NHS clinic last week - both the nurse and the doctor there were fantastic!! Made me feel really at ease - and sooo understanding!
She talked about utrogestan, and yes I could have it on NHS, no problem.
I also mentioned my libido (or lack of it

) - and she said I could have testosterone if it didn't improve - no problem!
What she has prescribed for me in the short term though is the birth control pill!
I did have the choice - and and her advice I said I would be prepared to try it, see how it went.
She said some prog intolerant women find it works for them?
Anyway, I have started on it and fingers crossed.
The next thing she'd like me to try is Mirena, but no pressure, after that or instead of that is utrogestan.
I feel so much happier about it all now, I did feel I had been thrown into a bleak wilderness a bit by my GP

when she suggested HRT wasn't for me, just like that.

Anyway, I'll start another thread asking how any ladies like me who are prog intolerant got/get on with the combined pill , meanwhile, I hope you are all getting some of this lovely sunshine!!!!!!!
