Scam emails

Just a quick heads up ladies.

Don't know how many of you have PayPal accounts but there is a very clever and frighteningly authentic looking email doing the rounds.

Check very carefully before you enter any information.

It made me wonder today and I checked twice before deleting.

This is my third and it looked so real.

As PayPal is linked to your bank account it's scary stuff.

My son who has a computing degree said.....make sure you see the http on the address bar. That is seemingly the most difficult thing to get right.

I delete them all, never report. I refuse to use PayPal or have they got my details without me knowing it?

You can now opt in for a security key for Paypal which sends a PIN code to your mobile phone when you try and log in. Therefore, if a fraudster tried to access the account they would not be able to get in without the PIN code.       ER x

Thanks for posting.  I have had many from various sources including Paypal. They are often very realistic.

Honeybun. Should it be https:  I understood the s was for secure.
I have hotmail address so automatically report as phishing scam and I never compete any info online on request but there is nothing to say my account cannot be hacked if someone gets my details from online buying.

I know of a savvy businessman who got letter from tax office or so he thought. He completed information and his bank account was breached.

I did not know about the PIN no for PayPal. Will look into that.
