Her Majesty celebrates
« on: April 21, 2013, 10:13:52 AM »

87 today  :tulips2:  (which means Mum will be 87 in November)

I wonder if Her Majesty has time to watch the Maraton, either on TV or from her windows, or both?

My son shares his birthday with the Queen as well :)  To the point that when he was younger we used to give him two like she has - so he could have parties in the garden with friends in the summer when he was younger.

me too CLKD! I hate my Birthday being so close to Christmas and would love to celebrate outside and have gifts for the garden like plants. No one thinks of garden gifts in winter! My Sisters have spring birthdays and always have lovely bedding plants bought for them!

I often wonder how she managed when she had to eat at all those events  :o and meet and greet people she didn't know and what happened when she went through 'our' time of Life  :-\ - or do the Royals have people who do all that for them  ;D

Is it any wonder that she is as good. If she sneezes the wrong way there will be a doctor at her side.
She has lived a life of extreme comfort and privilege. No school runs or broken nights for her. No trying to make a penny stretch and worry about a mortgage.
No having to chance picking up a hospital infection.
If you can't look good after being pampered for your whole life then it's a poor show.

Happy Birthday Madge....I am sure she will have more to come.

Poor Charles can keep talking to his plants for a while yet.

He is another one that could have done with a proper job.

His sons put him to shame.....at least they are contributing something.

Now let me think of something he does that is invaluable.....um nope it's not coming to me yet.

I doubt he even knows how to put toothpaste on a brush.

He is about as much use as a chocolate tea pot.

Sorry you missed your chance CLKD......maybe you could have knocked him into shape.

Think William & Harry are more grounded, much like Zara.

I think he is more grounded than we give him credit for  ;)  ........ the closest I got to Charles was standing outside Windsor Castle ...... when he and his sister had measles  :o ............  ::)
