hi i am using both these  and have been putting sandrena on left thigh and testogel on right every day...had my levels tested 3 months later and tstosterone is still 0.3 which is what it was when started? maybe i need to alternate the site? anyone know? also latest estriodol level is <100 anyone know what this means? and progestone was 14..( am on 100mg uterogestan caps) si that level ok?

Hi Fliss,

I use sandrena and until yesterday was using testogel.

I do not have a clue on the levels and what they mean,but any skin application needs to have site of application alternated.

I use alternative places every time. This is because the receptors on the skin stop working properly,also need to rub it a lot.

I have had a very bad acne break out so decided to stop taking testim, even a tiny amount sets off my skin.

thanks so much so what sites can you use and how many times do you alternate? would you be able to give me an example of a weeks worth of sites and your regime if possible?
 i only used thighs till now as not sure where else i can put them and if i can pout testo on same site as sandrena?

Hi Fliss,

I use inner thighs, outer thighs,belly,inner arms,and inner elbow(if that's the right name for it), u can also use ur feet.(the tops).

For sandrena I think the skin has to be more porous/softer and as a rule any place that gets sweaty can be used, except face.

Testim- does not make much difference on type of skin I don't think: u can use on shoulders, outer hands. Testim I only used on outer hands and one of my shoulders, but due to breakout stopped. So, it clearly got into my blood too quick and it's too much for me. Testim i just alternated hands:upper right, upper left.
 Sandrena, alternate sides and places, may be start off with inner arm and work clockwise to the other side f the body, to inner elbow,belly,thigh,inner thigh, then to inner knee(under knee) and then go on to the opposite side: whatever works for you really.
As long as u alternate sides u' ll be ok.

How much sandrena r u on? I can only presume u were prescribed this combo at a meno clinic because GPS do not usually prescribe sandrena, utrogestan and testim. I had exactly same prescribed by clinic. I am in premature menopause.
Ur readings below 100 u said for oestrogen, did doc increase ur estrogen dose as a result of tests?
Also, how r u feeling? For me, I don't care about my readings anymore as long as I feel good. With testim, felt good, but noticed terrible sugar craving and acne. When I reduced the testim sugar craving went away but acne continued. So, still decided to stop it, although the up from testosterone is nice

thanks so much for this Suz... very helpful//// i am on 1g sachet a day of sandrena...and its testogel i am on..maybe thats diffrerent to testim?  dr annie evans prescribed it for me at meno clinic last year with uterogestan prgesterone caps 100mg... she was NHS then but i hjad to go provate for testogel this jan when i found my testosterone was so low...i have emailed her re my klow estriodol result but not heard back..maybe i do need to try 1.5g sandrena...but will try aletrnating application sites first with both and see if that helps..my main symptom is severe anxiety but thats related to low thyroid (i have hashimotos) and also adrenal problems ..i am on hydrocrtisone for that and thryoid tabs but had to stop had a reaction and working dose up now and hoping anxiety will go away...actually have notced hot flushes coming back so think i do need more sandrena..but my hormones are all over the place as been so ill...xx

fliss, i use testogel and i use it on the outer part of my upper arms alternating which arm. I think Sandrena is good to use it on your inner thighs also alternating thighs x

It sounds like you are having a hard time with meno, and adrenal probs etc. .

I am not really sure if there is a difference between the testogel and testim, but I really wanted a little boost for my libido, but alas, the acne is awful now.
I was even looking at asking for different HRT to see if something else will help with my skin. I keep getting antibiotics which do not exactly work and its so dark at my docs office: she says its not that bad!!! Well, not that bad but bad enough now, I can't even cover it up with any amount of foundation. . (No skin sticks etc help)

I have thyroid prob as well and on levothyroxine.
My anxiety was directly related to Hrt...I started smoking as a result!! All passed now (stopped smoking) after I increased my estrogen level and doc at clinic is ok with that. I do not have anxiety any more and mood is ok too.
So, why don't u try to increase estrogen or decrease progesterone.
I think our bodies get used to a certain level and we need to increase estrogen to bring it to an optimum.
My original prescription was to increase to 2mg anyway with 100mg of utrogestan. Ladies also use utrogestan vaginally and docs are ok with that too. I tried vag route but still had a reaction to utrogestan, so had to change.

thanks for this...am going to increase to 1.5mg sandrena tomorrow as hot flushes getting worse..how long do you think i should give it before i try 2mg if 1.5 doesnt do the trick? will try alternating thighs with sandrena and arms with tetso and see....i do use uterogestan 100mg vaginally and have been fine with that...
i suffer from EXTREME anxiety have had to be put on diazepam for 8 weeks duw to severe panic attacks...maybe increasing the sandrena will help? really want to get off diazepam and starting to decrease it slowley next week...but still trying to INCREASE thyroid meds to right level! am on hydrocortisone for adrenals too...so much going on! just want to get the right balance of all these hormones and feel better...i wont decrease progesterone as have read thats good for anxiety and depression and needed for thyroid and adrenals though...
