Just been back to my meno specialist to tell her the testogel isn't really helping (after 4 months) so she's now raised my dose from 1/4 of a 50mg sachet per day to 1/3 of a 50mg sachet per day  :o

Still got Evorel 100 patches (she saw no reason to change those).

Got to go back in 5 months for a follow-up appointment.

I also discussed the issue with her about how hard it is to judge an accurate dose and she said the best option is to decant the gel into a small glass jar with a lid (and label it!!) and then use a syringe to measure the right amount (something I'd toyed with but wasn't sure I should do). She said I could even empty several sachets into a jar as it should 'keep' for a while, but I shall stick to one at a time for the moment.

1/4 was 12.5mg and 1/3 will be 16.66mg (quite a jump in daily dosage).

Will see how it goes...........

Argh I have given up on the Testosterone gel, it did nothing for me, I saw excellent results with the Oestrogel so was hoping for the same thing....I find if I drink enough white wine it has the same effect lol!

hi there
ive been on testogel for 3 months and my blood tetsts just came back as the same as when i started! 0.3 testosterone.. still no increase in energy or sex drive etc..
annie evans private meno clinic put me on it...told like some others here to make one  50g sachet lats 10 to 14 days...been making it last 14 days so will try a bit more and make it last 10 days....
that would be how much testosterone a day? do you think i shouold use more like some others on here?
i still have womb but am on hydrocortisone for adrenal insufficency and that lowers testosterone..
also on sandrena and uetrogestan and thyroid meds so have complex health issues which all need balancing..

Hi peeps
Don't forget that your body will first of all address any oestrogen deficiency you have - it will take the testosterone you are putting into it and convert it to oestrogen if it feels that is appropriate - unless your E2 level is what your body deems is adequate it is pointless adding in testosterone.

Soupdragon that is one of the best pieces of advice iv seen on MM! I must do that myself.  Someone else had said she was told to get the estrogen right first and now i know why :) tks
