HRT

HI
Can anyone tell me roughly how long it takes to notice any improvements when you start HRT? I have been having episodes of really long period's lasting weeks plus hot flushes; insomnia etc.
This time my period is into its 6th week. I am so fed up now. Someday's it's light and sometimes it's heavy. The doctor suggested it could take 2/3 months before I would see any improvement.
How have others got on?
Any advice grateful

:bighug:  if the period is heavy, clots etc. the GP can prescribe a drug to ease that.

It is elleste duet 1mg. I'm only on it a fortnight and I didn't start it on the first day of my period as they are so up the left. But I think it has got heavier! Doc said it would settle down once I havery taken it a couple of months. I know it's early days and I'm probably expecting to much to soon but I'm just so anxious and worried

Thank you. I will try and find it. I'm not sure how this site works yet. I can't find the updated comments to posts when I log out and in again!
