can't get warm

Hello ladies. Still having flushes and night sweats but now have a new problem. Sometimes when I get into bed I can't get warm enough to get to sleep. Arms and legs and lower back feel like ice.
Anyone else experience this weird symptom?

I have had that before and found the only way to solve it was either to have a warm bath before getting into bed or take a hot water bottle, complete with furry cover, into bed and position it under my bum for a while! My OH once remarked that even during a really bad hot flush/sweat my bum stayed cold.

When did you last have a full blood count and thyroid function test?

Pauline
I have the chills most of the time along with lightheadedness, nausea and skin tingling.
My thyroid (full panel tested) is normal and full blood count normal.
I've always attributed this to low or fluctuating oestrogen but I may be wrong.
Not a nice feeling.

When I took Tamoxifen I had cold chills which began dwon the back of the shoulder blades and into the waist region. Can't remember how soon they happened after swallowing the pill but it was dreadful, the first few times I thought I had 'flu starting

I get that sometimes; I use a hot water bottle like Taz. I have to kick it out before falling asleep though, or my night sweats are worse!
Sometimes I've been cuddling it trying to get warm "inside" only for OH to tell me that I'm like a furnace to the touch. Weird!

i am having thyroid and blood count bloods at moment as been having disdy spells and retaining water/ gaining weight....I have read that the thyroid test as a blood test is as reliable as a fsh one and a saliva test is more reliable...am kind of hoping it doesnt come back as normal as I am convinced its thyroid...we will see

Don't get it too often, but it's horrid when it happens. I pile on the covers then waken in a total sweat and that's on HRT.

"disdy" - explains dizzyness exactly! My feet always feel cold to me but Himself says they are 'normal'

Thanks ladies. Never had a thyroid test - perhaps I should? Started flushes in Sept 07 and still going strong with them. Every birthday I think perhaps this will be the year things settle down - but they haven't yet!
56 and counting.......!!

It's always worth having things like thyroid checked; if all the "usual" tests are clear then you know it's "just" meno!

Last night even Himself switched on his electric blanket
and we put back a layer of bed clothes - and it's not August yet

I have felt cold for 2 days. The temp has dropped but I have sorted out summer light weight clothes ready to put away
and will haul out slightly thicker jumpers. I have high anxiety which means I am unable to eat = lack of fuel for energy
......... certainly the wind was chilly yesterday and it's raining hard which makes it look colder than I am used to .............

How are you sleeping CLKD. When I am tired I always feel cold. Also when my anxiety is high I am very tense which is very tiring and so again I feel cold.
It's not nice feeling so anxious all the time and so I suspect that's probably just making you feel off.

I think this is anxiety based
