Thank you.  Do you need a different pillow?

A good mattress (we have a topper too - bliss) and the right pillow really help with aches and pains, particularly neck pain.

I found our last ones in of all place, Homebase: and the ones before that, they never seem to last long  ::) in JL.  A good plump up works wonders too  ;)

Can I ask Pamela, if you ever went on a low dose and were you ok?
Thanks

Nigella this is a really old thread..perhaps make a new one and it might get more attention.
Anyway I will note down my experience..
I am on the betablocker Atenolol, have been for 15 years. I take 50mg morning and 25mg at night, I have no side effects and never have had so far. Maximum dose for Atenolol is 100mg so I guess I am on a fairly high dose.
I read on your other post you have been prescribed Bisoprolol at a low dose, you won't know if it suits you until you start it and 1.25mg is a small dose.
What concerns you about taking it?

It's OK to run a thread 'on' but must realise that some posters are long gone.

I've had no problems with Propranolol apart from a headache for the last 12 months so I now take 20mg night and morning.

Hi there.
I take propananol for another health related condition but works wonders for the Meno anxiety too.......
Yes they slow your heart rate but it doesn't cause me issues. At pre op I had to have and ecg and the nurse was like your heart rate is 65......yep it is but no anxiety yippee.

Another BB taker here....no issues apart from maybe they have slowed me down a little over the years but then I'm always slow really and not much energy!  I've taken them for over 20 years - Sotalol low dose for anxiety, fast heart rate.  Just take half a tablet and see how you go and ease yourself into them.  I think half the population are on them to be honest as it seems to be the first thing the Drs dish out prior to ADs.

Good luck x

So glad I read this! Tried every ad under the sun and react badly to all of  them. Anxiety is choking me. I am going to ask gp for bbs!

Was on 7.5mgs bisoprolol for fast heart rate and they did slow all of me down. After a few years doc changed them to propanolol - couldn't breathe on them. Doc decided to take me off them completely because of another condition and now I am getting palpitations! Can't win!
