Went to out to usual local for lunch today.
Had to change our route due to snow on the roads we normally use, car didn't cope.
Managed ok but wasn't straightforward.
Supposed to the rain and wind tomorrow.
Still feels very chilly now.

Snow!! How amazing!! No frost at all here in SW England but we were promised it and some snow showers - all we had was a big hail shower first thing and then brilliant autumn sun all day. Lovely!

From this room I can see the cars: thick layer of frost ........ must buy more straw for the chickens' run tomorrow .........

I'm sure we had a tonado in York this morning!!  I was walking to my office from the station - wet, but not exceptionally so and with just a little wind ..... then all hell broke loose!!  Very sudden, very strong and noisy wind, hail-stones the size of petit-pois so heavy it made it look foggy - then gone, as suddenly as it arrived!  Definitely fit the description of the type of tornadoes that are most common in the UK.

We are in the middle of a ferocious storm right now  :o .......... day began with bright sunshine after over-night frost, then the sky went BLACK: now it's chucking it down .......... haven't seen the kitten yet this morning, hopefully he is tucked up in the shed next door!  Crickey, wind just changed direction from going up the street to down the street - now there is sleet and snow and rain  :o

Was Rainey and dull, quite cold but sun came out a while ago unfortunately wind has picked up too, sun not on house now it came out to late for that.,so have just put the heating on for a bit to warm up! I hope all you ladies have swapped your electric and gas to a fixed one I done mine on compare web and it's now fixed to 2017.

Sun came out for a couple of hours, now raining again and very cold  :o ........ fished out the gloves, hats, scarves earlier and now have 2 polo necks on: one acrylic mix and the other 80% wool - jeans, knickers, long acrylic/wool socks, slippers ........... when we go out later I will add another top layer, hat, gloves ...........

I just put snow shovel on the list and tea light candles ready for the black outs, should we make a list for things to get in for a long

hard snowed in winter?  ??? before the Preppers  :)
