I agree CLKD three cheers for the council workers who grit and salt our roads in difficult conditions so that our roads are passable with care. We had sleet and heavy rain this afternoon in the midlands and tonight -3 C has been forecast so goodness only knows what the roads and paths will be like in the morning. Last Thursday morning it was very icy first thing and as the icy conditions were not that obvious great care was needed when walking outside. It was like a thin film of ice covering everything.
The wintery conditions are making their way across the country which seems madness when I look out of the window and see two roses happily flowering away as if it was summer! Last summers geraniums have only stopped producing flowers in the last two weeks since we had that first spell of heavy frost.
If the snow etc comes lets hope it goes as quickly as it arrives.
