I can rember the winter of 1963 it snowed on Boxing Day and lasted until nearly Easter.
I started school in the January of 1963 and my poor Mum had to walk me to school along with my brother who was nearly three and my sister who would have been 17 months every morning then back home only to have to come back at lunchtime as you went home for lunch in those days when you first started school then back to school/home for her/then back to collect me at home time she still talks about it now she says she felt she spent the first three months of 1963 trailing three children back and forth in snow and ice.
I still rember the hot Ribenna we used have after school each day while the three of us huddledup on the settee in front of the real fire.
Strangely I cann't really rember the winter of 1981 neither can DH but that was the year we got married so we probably had other things to keep us occupied
.
It's been a another lovely day here in Lanzarote have got the beginning of a lovely tan.
