Back to the drawing board
« on: April 05, 2018, 01:10:44 PM »

Hi All,
So I'm back. Had to stop my birth control pill (microlite) as it was giving me hives according to dermatologist. Mind you it hadn't improved my mood that much but had helped certain issues. Not as dry down beloe, was feeling more in the mood and generally a little lift in mood etc.
So now I dont know what to do. Try a different pill? Or doctor suggested cerazette mini pill. Or the Evra patch.
I dont know if i am perimenopausal or just extreme pmt that lasts for 3 weeks at least.  I do know its hormonal though as everything else in life is good.

Its so confusing. Anybody have experience of either? Did they help?
Any advice greatly welcomed.

Well if you are dry down there, do read our threads on Vaginal Atrophy.  This needs to be treated as a separate issue to over-all hormonal issues.  Localised HRT - either Vagifem or Ovestin - this is for Life.  As oestrogen levels drop so the body may become dry, inside and out!
