Hi Midge204. If you put some key words into the search box you will find threads that should be helpful to you.
There are loads and you will end up with tired eye's, as I did, but its the best research you will have done to help you through the maze that is the menopause years.

It does feel like its going on forever, last 55 days I've had 4 days totally free of it, otherwise I will get a blush or similar colour when I wipe that isn't there sometimes but is others or will fade during the day. I did have a 10 day heavy period from 26th March until 8th April

Hia,

Yes getting on hrt now is your best bet.

The first hormone to decrease in peri is estrogen, which leaves your body out of whack and out of balance with the progesterone which decreases at a later stage. The fact that the E&P is off is what is causing these symptoms.

Google it and then I'd get on it asap if it were me. I started it age 51 bcz that's when I worked out what the hell was going on with me.

You can get Yes VM on NHS prescription - I wish I'd discovered this sooner...

When I had Mirena in, I'd spot a little after orgasms. I am guessing, it was from that bit that it sits in. Later, orgasms were not as intense as before, as if some nerves got numbed,  so it kind of confirms that just by it being there can cause some spotting...?

one dr said you can still have periods on hrt as you are replacing the hormones. But he added see a female in our practice when i try to make an appointment with her i get told i need to ring at 8am and wait in all day which i cannot when i am at work ( other dr i can book a call after 4pm in advance ) i thin she only work  1or 2 days a week but as he told me to see her you would assume that was enough to allow me to call and pre book.   OOOHHHH no also rec demanded to know why i wanted her in front of a busy waiting room i said it was private and male dr told me it was her special  area ( that should be enough) she told me i cant hep if you wont tell me ) funny as on the tv screen it state if you are asked a private qu we will respect your privacy and not push ) ( RANT over )

I’m currently using YES alongside estriol with good success. Wonder if anyone gets vaginal moisturisers from their gp without having to buy privately? Thanks.
