I’ve had this just in the last couple of weeks! Had a 41 day cycle, then some spotting and then a period that lasted 15 days, sort of medium flow but it just wouldn’t seem to stop. Then 3 days ago it did just stop! I went to the dr and I’ve asked to be referred just to get checked although I think it is just dodgy hormones! I hate the unpredictability all this brings, I feel like I just don’t know my body these days.

It sound quite normal for peri to me. I had this happen a year ago and bled for 5 weeks. Because you gone a while without a period, the lining builds up and then when you do eventually have a period, it can be heavy or light and be prolonged. I really don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but if you are concerned then have a word with your GP. Hope this goes some way to reassure you that all is probably normal and just the joys of this time of life for us It’s definitely not just you. I felt that way when it happened to me. Mine was a light bleed like yours. I did visit the GP, but she wasn’t worried and mine eventually stopped on its own. Some GP’s will send you for a scan just to check everything is ok and some will just keep an eye on it for a while like mine. If you’re worried ask them for a scan to put your mind at rest |

Get an appt ASAP. If the body gets sensitive to a product, it needs to be allowed to settle so a change of regime might be in order?

Criky! How often and how much does one require though ? MayB half the amount suggested, after all they are trying to sell a product. Cynical. Moi

Hi gc123
I've never tried Ultrasun but I think I would either apply it one hour after the oestrogel and keep an eye on those specific areas in case you need to reapply (ie if not as effective as on clean skin) Or I'd use ordinary sunscreen on those areas and keep reapplying as you would with the ordinary stuff. The other alternative, if its just for holidays, is to switch your gel application time and maybe put on your gel after your early evening/post sunny day activities. Lots of people use gel in evenings rather than mornings as it suits their routine. Personally I'm fortunate not to need very regular gel 'fixes' so I vary my application to suit my daily activities if I'm doing something where my morning application doesn't suit. If your question is holiday related - have a wonderful time 😎 Suzie |

Thank you CLKD, I will try that in the morning. It is 4pm here and I am absolutely ravenous, it is just that first couple of hours after getting up that seems to be the issue. I have the endoscopy on Friday so have stopped the ppi I was prescribed as they said it can give a false result. I did have horrible bloating whilst I took the Lanseroprazole, does that go off after a while?
