I have had countless scans for unscheduled bleeding. The last one showed thickening and fluid which the consultant said was suggestive of cancer. When I had my hysteroscopy 6 weeks later the lining was thin and no fluid was there. This shows that things can change very rapidly. There were no concerns and I was discharged. Reading other peoples experience on here alongside mine, in most instances there isn't a problem. Try not to worry, easier said than done, but the hysteroscopy will give answers and if by any chance anything needs to be done they will sort out a treatment plan.

I would definitely recommend the gel, particularly with a Mirena coil because it gives you maximum dose flexibility.

I found the patches were far too weak with the Mirena and I had breakthrough symptoms.  I often found they didn't stick very well and left a rash.  I didn't like having the wear the patch either.

My brain has gone into full catastrophe mode!!! I went to the GP about my ongoing but improving staining on hrt and she.said that my pelvic ultrasound commented I had a bulky cervix so GP going to refer me to gynecology. I have googled I know I shouldn't 😱😱😱😱
I've recently had a referral albeit for something different, I had a small thickening on my cervix. I know how you feel, your mind runs away with itself partly because of the language used. I got in such a state of anxiety, it was so unpleasant. By the time I got there, the consultant had looked at my case and more or less told me she didnt expect to find anything worrying, that was before she had even looked. Best not to google though. I stopped that last year when I had aan unexpected diagnosis. It usually doesn't help to reassure. Wait and see what the gyny says

Hi,

I’m hoping someone might be able to advise on the following, please?

I recently saw a private GP re my HRT etc as whenever I’ve discussed with the NHS it’s been less than useless (shocker).

Private GP was fantastic - prescribed testosterone and advised changing to continuous HRT rather than cyclical at the end of my last HRT cycle. Everything made sense and I was delighted.

However, I’m now 12 days into my the continuous HRT regime and I’m starting to wonder if I’ve done something wrong.

My withdrawal bleed usually comes circa day 28 (+/- 2-3 days), this time it came on day 2 of the new cycle. I had a few days of stringy spotting before it started in earnest and it’s not let up since, and is quite a bit heavier than normal. I’m guessing this is because I only had a two day gap of no utergestan before starting the 100mg/night and so I’m worried this is going to drag on. Should have had had a gap between finishing the last cyclical cycle and starting the continuous or will the bleeding eventually stop?

For clarity my Uterogestan went as follows:

Day 12-26 - 200mg/night
Day 27-28 - no uterogestan
Day 1 onwards - 100mg uterogestan/night

Should I persevere with things as they are, or should I have a break from the uterogestan to let the bleed stop and then restart?

Many, many thanks.
