I think it's possible to use a low dose oestrogen only patch (Menostar) without any progesterone under supervision but I doubt that NHS would agree to it.  However, this is for post menopausal women and would not be suitable for a younger person with severe menopause symptoms.

If you have had an ablation, you would be able to get away with a lower dose of progesterone with regular scans.  This is off the record and I doubt the NHS would agree to monitor you but a private doctor would. Another option is to take progesterone every three months.

Sorry for all the questions but have you actually had the ablation? Is this doctor private?  What types of progesterone have you tried?  Are you post menopause?

Are you still going to the loo often? I know you mentioned your back, two symptoms of diverticulitis, which is very common after 50 xx

Gem45, it sounds like you need some help with finding a workable HRT regime rather than giving it up altogether.  Supplements, diet, exercise and the other stuff you mentioned will only take you so far and will not really help menopause symptoms.

You really need to find a specialist who can help you with the progesterone problem or you could decide to take a lower dose and self monitor by having regular transvaginal scans.  Why do you need progesterone on top of the mini pill?  Could the mini pill be enough for the progesterone component and then you could just add oestrogen?

I don't use the NHS but from what I have read on here, it is under immense strain now and probably doesn't have the bandwidth to deal with complex HRT cases.  NHS menopause clinics are over subscribed with very long waiting lists so you might have to consider private help.

I would start by taking the mini pill with a top up of oestrogen and see how that goes for a while.  What type/dose is the mini pill?

Well I was put on Evorel Conti in March after being on sequential for 14 years, I have been bleeding every day for 8 days I then have 7 days with no bleeding and I’m back to bleeding again

I know it takes up to 6 months to settle but it’s been 3 months and I’ve had enough of bleeding so much, my iron is low again and my hair is falling out, I’m going to ask the dr if I can add more progesterone to stop the bleeding

I’ve had scans just showed a small fibroid

I've not been able to eat eggs since the 1980s, they simply lay heavy and won't digest = intense nausea.  Even an egg sandwich has to be faced with determination!  OK in cakes; which I have given up, trying to get rid of as much processed grub in our diet as possible.

Baked beans the same.   :-\.

DH has put on my other sock as I can't bend far enough this morning.  Low due to the constant drizzle because I Have Things 2 DO outside.  [things to do inside I am trying to ignore  :-X :-\].

Had a bad night with my stomach.
Can’t ever eat an egg again, every time I do, I suffer.
Something else off my list of foods I can’t tolerate these days!  :-\
