Thank you CLKD, I will try that in the morning. It is 4pm here and I am absolutely ravenous, it is just that first couple of hours after getting up that seems to be the issue. I have the endoscopy on Friday so have stopped the ppi I was prescribed as they said it can give a false result. I did have horrible bloating whilst I took the Lanseroprazole, does that go off after a while?

I had what I thought was a hormonal skin reaction, incredibly itchy breasts and nipples, but the Dr suggested it was an allergic reaction to the coating of the pill rather than the hormone. Changed to a different pill and the itching went away.

I'm desperate to find something which will work for that. Someone suggested a product in the La Biosthetique brand but its £150 for 30 days!!!

Yes definitely! Have stopped a few days ago. Problem is I now also seem to be getting a similar reaction to the actual Evorel patch, but I'm fairly sure it's the adhesive (an adhesive allergy is what causes a tegaderm reaction apparently) rather than the patch per se. It seems I have suddenly developed an adhesive allergy, add that to the list of joyous menopause symptoms! I'll see how it goes with the patches for a while and if it gets worse I'll need to swap. This is a year after having to switch from Lenzetto because after a year that also started to give me a skin dermatitis reaction. It seems my body is determind to repel HRT!

Hi Wren - I don't know enough about the Mirena at all I'm afraid. However if it is enough of a dose as a protective against oestrogen and its effects I would imagine it is.

Ive had countless episodes of unscheduled bleeding since being on conti HRT. Ive had several scans and a hysteroscopy. None of the gynaes ever suggested I stop HRT whilst they undertook investigations.

I hope they send the kit out soon. At least then you'll be ready to go.

The health service is in crisis and without investment (which we all need to pay for) it's only going to get worse. It's so frustrating having no power.

It sound quite normal for peri to me. I had this happen a year ago and bled for 5 weeks. Because you gone a while without a period, the lining builds up and then when you do eventually have a period, it can be heavy or light and be prolonged. I really don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but if you are concerned then have a word with your GP. Hope this goes some way to reassure you that all is probably normal and just the joys  of this time of life for us

Thanks for your reply. Yes I'm glad of the reassurance it's not just me.
