My mum and dad used to have fab house parties- all the neighbours came. Songbird organised the entertainment  .
I dressed up as a mummy, my friend was the grim reaper and my brother was a priest  . He was our Prey! We did a version of the thriller dance. What a hoot. Those parties were brilliant! It's just not the same anymore..

Oh, I loved Hogmanay in my home town of Edinburgh (at my Granny’s), Jaypo. Sitting in a big circle in the living room, sipping ginger wine and munching on black bun - spinning a bottle on the floor and when it stopped at you, you had do your party piece  …..mine was “Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”!
