Rebound after HRT
« on: December 14, 2025, 07:19:12 PM »

I’m came off HRT under Drs orders after a small bleed. Had a couple  of weeks of spotting but nothing for ten days now (fingers crossed)
Have to wait 6 weeks until I can see the dr again and that will be new year. If no more bleeding there won’t be any further investigation so I’m hoping that will be the case and thank you for the reassuring responses about that issue guys.
I’m now five weeks off HRT and have a full set of symptoms. Trouble sleeping, anxiety, aches and pains, and now hot flushes and dizziness. I’m 57 and was hoping this would not happen as I hit peri in my mid forties and have been on HRT of one sort or another for ten years.
Is this likely to settle? I’m keen to avoid HRT maybe - 🤔 was on 200mg of progesterone and 2 pump gel.

I suppose the next thing would be a coil but I bled terribly when I had a contraceptive one in my thirties.
Does anyone have any experience of stopping HRT abruptly and how long it took to settle?
Thanks so much x
