5mg of provera may be adequate for ovarian suppression, particularly if used alongside an estrogen.

Some individuals may require more, a ballpark is 5-15mg however I believe very few would need 15mg.

Bomb can I ask you when midst starting the contraceptive pill can you feel worse symptoms before you feel better? Only reason I ask is it met a meno specialist on Teams on he computer on wed cos my peri anger been soo bad its too much to take. She saud i had pmdd and her first choice 4 me was slynd I said id tried ghst before but quit on day 6 ....her eyebrows raised a but I saud my sngdr fekt a bit worse but on saying that day 4 I got no anger all day then days 5 and 6 cane back ...is this normal cos im a wimp and find it easy to quit

Her second choice was utrogesten 100mg inserted vaginally using oral pills ....but my friend shows on this saud but it won't suppress you vjcky ......anyway on thursday at 4pm I inserted ....20 mins later I had the most horrendous horrible anger known to man my pater saud oh my god you've never had anger at this time of night its always in hhe morning going into say.lunch.
So I stopped I rand some pharmacists cos I dont have a goid relationship with my surgery they saud stop taking ut you've had a reaction
So I didn't rake anything ladt night.
The meno lady will be llkease cos she was urging me fir slynd cis my presentation is so bad I can't go out.
What do I do? When do I start it bomb?.
Do I let the utrogesten out first? Few days?
Im really suffering crying all hhe time .
And again is thhs nor.al to feel worse before better ? Hope u can reassure me pls xxxx lots love xxxx

I would always start with the lower end of the dose range, and if it is tolerated but not effective, you can then increase it.

This helps avoid unnecessary overtreatment.

I've had to modify my old post so sorry if there are replies that don't match up im not allowed yo post.
But I wanted to ask ...does taking the birth control pill make yiur dympyoms worse before better?
I've heard this alotznd i saw a meno specialist on wed who urged me to start Slynd she saud it woukd be correct for my pmdd - she diagnosed me and the volcanic rage ive got its awful my life is in tatters becaiecof this peri anger.
I tokd her ifd tried it befire but only gave it 8 days or so ....4th day I got no anger then day 6 ish I got more anger slightly which ontop of already excruciating znger is terrible . So I stopped thinking it wasn't for me but a pharmacist ive just spoke to said yes it can get worse begire better and they are taught this in chemist school .....I just wanted reassurance from you lovely ladies that do I keep going on it even if ut gets tough and amplifies my symptoms?
The other regime she gave me was 100mg utrogesten inserted vaginally using oral pills ....I tried this and on thursday after taking the 2nd pill 20 mins later the znger nearly took the roof off the flat it was awful .....I messaged her she saud stop it shoukdnt do this .  But she's away mow and dont know when to start slynd. She ws more for this as she saud I desperately need suppression .
Do I have a break cos I was on utrogesten? I only usd it twice but a total of 300mg in 2 days .....thursday being the last one ..
Im wanting now to give this slynd a good go and hope it doesn't make my anger worse..
Any idea if its true that yiu do feel worse befire better? And zny thoughts on when I shoukd start slynd. ?
I must admit i feel a bit woo,y today .....I know yiu get withdrawal from utrogesten....??

Can you ask the admin if they can unblock you now? It seems ridiculous that a woman in need of help and support has been blocked from a site run by a BMS doctor and often recommended by the NHS. Surely this can be resolved!

So, you are asking if you will feel worse before better when starting a pill like slynd?

In my experience. Yes.

It's hard to push through. But when doing nothing leaves you in hell - you need to find the courage to stick and push through. X
