Lenzetto vs everol 100 help please
« on: November 27, 2025, 07:47:56 PM »

Currently on everol 100, had the mirena fitted anout 4 wkss ago but having seriously dark moods lately...dr dis bloods which came back at 322 for oestrogen and said testosterone was fine
She asked for advice from menopause clinic who have recommended 3 sprays of lenzetto a day instead of the patch but from what i have read online the 3 sprays is no where near the equivelant of the patch?
Anyone put my mind at rest as im worrying this wont work and ill be in a worse place

Thank you!!

I wouldn't accept this switch, you are correct in that it is dose shrinkflation.

Lenzetto is known to be quite weak, in fact weaker than it was initially thought to be compared to other products.

Gel also makes blood tests unreliable due to unstable plasma levels, if this is something that is important to you.

If the mirena IUS is the only thing that has changed recently and your mood has deteriorated, this may well be the culprit.

Are you on testosterone? If not, my reply to being told my testosterone was fine would be "great, the only value of a baseline test is to exclude a high level, which it has just done, and I would like a trial of treatment now please based on clinical symptoms".

Many women find testosterone beneficial for mood and cognition, however you would have to say it is for libido on the NHS.

That does make a lot of sense...
My only change is patch increase round sept from 75 to 100 and then the coil

That is a pretty decent level from a 100mcg patch, and just squeaks in above professor Studd's recommended 300pmol/L for bone protection.

However if you are not yet postmenopausal it is a bit more complicated because some (or even all) of that could be endogenous.

However few people would achieve a better result with lenzetto unless the issue was either patch dehiscence or skin reactions to the patches.

If your skin is doing a good job of keeping the outside out, which it is designed to do, then gel/spray doesn't necessarily pass through any better, and lenzetto is the weakest option.
