Hi, this is my first post here so hopefully I’ve done everything right!
I’ve been on the combined pill since I was around 20 and turned 50 in March. I originally went on it for PMS. I took the last pill on 14/11 and had my withdrawal bleed last week. My GP prescribed me Everol Sequi patches but I was unsure if I wanted to take HRT and especially the patches as the glue in plasters and tape gives me an itchy raised rash. I did mention it but she didn’t seem to think it was a problem.
Because I was faffing about deciding what to do I’m now well outside day 5 of my cycle so does this mean I need to wait until I have a period before starting? I’m beginning to feel rough - headache, stomach ache, a bit weepy, all the things I could control when I was on the pill. I’d have happily signed a waiver to say I know the risks so I could keep taking it!
The other thing I’m considering is asking about the mirena coil as most women I know that are on it don’t have periods at all.
