Hormonal Vertigo/HRT/Anxiety
« on: November 16, 2025, 09:10:35 PM »

Hi, I wanted to inquire about your experiences with hormonal vertigo and HRT. I’m in perimenopause and I have been experiencing a swaying/ rocking vertigo for about 5 months since having night sweats and a bad migraine in the back of my head. I’m considering trying HRT for the vertigo but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

What are your experiences with vertigo?

Has anyone tried HRT for vertigo? If so, what seems to work best?

Also, I’ve been very anxious since entering perimenopause. Any advice for how to cope with this?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  🙂

This is quite a common reaction to low oestrogen.

As is anxiety.  There is appropriate medication for this and some HRT may help.

As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out; which can affect narrowing too i.e. Eustachian tubes in the ears = giddiness.
