Sorry Vicky. Xx. It's so hard.

It would be the double cerazette or back to a combined pill to ensure supression. X

Yes but combined pill I'd love!
But I didn't know that yasmin was upping my SHGB! And binding to ghe estrogen part of it not making it work.....so this is why im here in this mess trying to suppress.
So I have a choice when I googled which are the best progesterone only pills to suppress ovaries aroes?

Haha
Cerelle
Cereaxette
Desomono

Never heard of last one.
So ive chosen cerelle ....well ive out a docket mote into GP to prescribe it.
I called the. Hemust this morning in tears rold him what had happened he agreed it's the slynd I'd said get off it now....il even email your GP now to tel them
Im sensitive yiu see as im going through withdrawal too.so maybe it was too high too much.

Vicky cerelle is just a different brand name of cerazette.

It's 75mg desogestral.

So that 75mg desogestral is not suprssing me. But, like you, I couldn't take double dose. Or slynd.

Also - no NHS GP will support you being on Estrogen patch with just 75mg desogestral. They will insist on utrogestan too or combined patches. This is a safety issue. Thats why double dose is mentioned. X

Vicky -Ive replied on one of your previous threads… I think Estrogen is your problem, not the Slynd. Everything you describe is me to a t when Estrogen is too high. Fatigue has been one of my worst peri symptoms…, I cut back on the Estrogen a fortnight ago to 2 pumps gel and added progesterone cream and my energy and mood has been much better. Estrogen can mess with your thyroid and cause symptoms of hypothyroidism if too high… progesterone helps balance this. I’ve been struggling getting HRT right for 3 years. I think I’ve been focussing too much on e and actually p is more helpful! I too am on Slynd.
Hey Crispy… I’ve not been on here as much of late as been feeling a bit more settled. I hope you’re doing better?. X

I can’t really advise on that but it depends on what your symptoms were that made you think 75 was too low. I guess all I’m trying to say is don’t always assume it’s the p… high Estrogen can be just as problematic, if not worse than low. I think it’s virtually impossible to be completely symptom free on any dose and more about finding the dose that gives you the least bothersome symptoms. Perhaps try cutting some off patch and seeing if you feel better… I’m pretty sensitive to hormonal fluctuations so can feel the difference pretty much within 24 hours. If there are positive changes perhaps that’s your answer or maybe you actually also need some natural p like me which has had a definite positive impact on my wellbeing…. Not perfect but my energy levels are def better! I’m on another forum where some women have taken cyclogest with Slynd to help with mood issues … I just find the cream easier. I don’t know your history or what you’ve tired but obvs good to share positive experiences on here in case they help others!

Hi Lclegg - still hideous - see my recent thread!

Were u the lady needing supression? And u added slynd to mirena?

I'm now on cerazette. Not supressing. My GP just suggested I add in mirena to try and stop my periods as it's follicular that brings me hell. But I'm not sure...

Any thoughts? X

P.s sorry to hijack Vicky. X

Yes that’s me Crispy. I’ve had mirena since  April 2024 and added Slynd in December to stop the fluctuations which the mirena wasn’t helping. So sorry to read things are still hell for you… I’m probably not the best person to ask re mirena as personally wish I’d never had it because I just bled/spotted on it pretty much for 6 months til I added Slynd. I still spot and cramp now but as per my message to Vicki I’m pretty sure it’s the Estrogen. I tried to up to 3 pumps gel a month ago as assumed I had low e symptoms and had such a heavy bleed and pms from hell, hated everyone and everything, bloating, leg muscle pain, acne, severe fatigue so think I’m just someone who doesn’t need much Estrogen. I see you’ve tried doubling the desogestrel and felt worse and I know you’ve tried Slynd and chemical m. Have you ever tried natural p… cyclogest or cream? Clutching at straws but there’s def been a marked difference in me… having far far more positive mood days, much better energy levels and my hair isn’t falling  out as much 🤞🏼. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t feel like my old self but I am much much better than I was, even my husband has commented. x

Ah yes, I remember our chats Lclegg.

Glad you're doing a lot better. Hmmm not sure now that a mirena on top of my cerazette will be much use. And yet another change.

I'm going to see if another bleed comes and, if it does, and sends me right back to hell, than I'll need to try something to stop the bleeds. I guess.

I tried all sorts of prog cream a few years ago. No help to me. Simply triggered my body's overreactions. But others do find help with it.
