Hi Vicky. I'll just reply here.

Yes. I take Cerazette again now. But I am a very very complex case - with some underlying thing going on - that hormones trigger. So I'm not sure how much help my experience will be.

What I can say, is this - cerazette at normal 75mg dose would always instantly stop my periods and ovulation in my 30s and early 40s. This gave me a good balance. Less fluctuations.

Now. At 49. It doesn't flatten me the same. I just broke through with a bleed 5 months in. Which triggers my awful symptoms. So not good. I do believe it stumps ovulation in me (as i always got pain. None now) but it's not strong enough to fully supress my peri fluctuations.

I actually started off on double dose back in April. But 6 weeks in, it became apparent that it was supressing me too far. My E was very low and I was suffering. And I can't tolerate hrt.

So I've had to drop back to standard dose and hope it helps.

Fatigue??? No idea. I have so many hideous daily symptoms. Been off work 15 months now. No let up. Have ME/CFC flagged on my file. I'm not the right person to comment on that.

What I will say, is you need to pick something and stick with it. You can see it took me 6 full weeks to work out double cerazette was too supressing. I believe most pills take 6-8 weeks to show their hand.

If you can take slynd, I'd do that. You need to be aware that no NHS doctor will permit your estrogen patch alongside 75mg cerazette. There is no guarantee it is safe for your endometrium. Small doses, possibly, but you're on a high E dose.

Hope that helps. X

So crispy keep on with cerazette best of luck with it......im trying 4mg slynd at 4 45pm later as the 3.g I stupidly cut down sent me crazy this morning......lots of anger, crying . Thanks Vicky.  :-*

I agree - anyone posting on here is often desperate. Kindness doesn't cost.

For what it's worth, I get severe rage and anger with done of my trials. I went through chemical menopause last year and the first 4 weeks made me the angriest I've ever been in my life - but I don't know believe it's the hormones themselves. I think it's the way my nervous system interprets change and reacts to it.

I'm just telling you this as your body has had a lot of changes to get used to.

I get it. I really do. I've been the queen of chopping and changing. We're desperate.

But the best advice I can now give you is stick with 4mg slynd for 6-8 weeks. If you get fatigue. Just ride it. You have it anyway. The same with any anger.

Like I say, single cerazette is not enough to control the peri fluctuations. Sadly.  :(. I'm contemplating moving up by 1/4 but I'm not sure as the pills are not meant to get cut. Plus. There's another change.
