Whilst VA treatment is unlikely to cause spotting, very thin vaginal walls may well bleed on contact.  Use every night for a week, getting the skin supple eases thinness which should improve symptoms over all.

Just a quick update.....went to see GP yesterday. Not seen this one before and she was lovely, very understanding.
Her advice was to use the vaginal oestrogen as much as I wanted,  her exact words were "get it up there as often as you need " 😂.
I didn't mention the tiny spot of blood,  but she listed the symptoms of gsm and said bleeding was a common one ...I just said yes to all the symptoms.
Very refreshing to find someone so clued up ....I'll definitely be choosing to see her again as she was the GP who specialises in women's health/HRT .

Wow, is the message finally getting through. I would say to the women on here who are only allowed two pessaries a week to shout louder and give ill informed medics the facts about topical oestrogen. Costs shouldn't come into it as its a cheap form of medication from what I've read.

Seems to be a lottery doesn't it. Some Gps are like dinosaurs and others totally informed as to what is needed.
