Hi I am new to taking hrt been on it a month and a half perimenopause  been put on ultrogeston tablets 1-25 days then 3 day break and 2 pumps oestrogen gel per day was wondering do you have a 3 day break with gel when have 3 day break with ultrogeston little worried as it protects women from gel thanks also been having spotting on and off then had bleed into toilet for 1 day 27 days ago just had another with small clot was wondering if this is normal

Use the oestrogel every day, no breaks. You want a continuous, stable supply of estrogen, fluctuations can cause unpleasant symptoms to return.  The  progesterone part protects your uterus, the break should trigger a bleed but if you're still having regular periods your body might have it's own idea when to bleed!

I haven't taken sequential hrt myself as I started after menopause (we take continuous progesterone with no break so no bleed on theory) but I think there is usually a longer break than 3 days. Hopefully someone else will be along to advise soon.
