Does anyone get tremor sensations internally and / or on skin? 

I had a weird case of labyrinthitis and migraine a couple of weeks ago, it coincided with me messing up the order of my patches (too much estradiol, didn't switch to combined in time). 


I also lowered the dose very slightly by just cutting a strip off a 25 estradiol patch.

3 weeks in I'm feeling like rubbish, still getting tremor sensations.  There are things in my new property that cause this too, but I can usually tell the difference, but at the moment I'm not sure what's me, what's that.

And my mood is very low.  I also have everyone waiting for me to run the show.  I have no emotional support from anyone but a lot of people draining me for what they need.  I don't mean that to sound like it does, I'm just too exhausted to write out all the detail.

I honestly don't know if it's menopause, or dying tbh.  And there isn't anyone in my life that's in the least bit concerned about me to ask how I am or anything.  I'm speaking to a counsellor, but 45 mins every few weeks leads nowhere, it's not changing all the problems I have at all.

Sorry, I am just having a hard time.

You sound like me a few years ago.  I started off with lots of weird symptoms but none of them were what i would have thought to attribute to perimenopause.  I had palpitations, anxiety, electric shock like sensations when falling asleep, body tremors (which felt like I was buzzing internally).  I didn't have any hot flushes or night sweats.  I honestly thought I was dying of something, I've had so many tests in the past few years it's ridiculous.  And the only thing I've got is a hiatus hernia and benign PVCs.  Anyway, fast forward to now and I've slowly learnt to accept that this could all be due to hormones.  I'm now on 100 evorel patches and 200mg utrogestan for 12 days.  I'm also on testosterone now which I actually feel helped me the most.  It stopped that internal buzzing feeling and got rid of nearly all of my aches and pains, made me feel stronger.  I think for me, the biggest thing was accepting that my mind and body is changing.  I exercise frequently now and have cut out alcohol.  I also try to limit sugar as much as possible. Also, if i don't eat my sugar levels drop and this makes me feel really dizzy and shaky and trembly (especially first thing in the morning).  I developed awful health anxiety (mainly cardiophobia) which I am now working on with a CBT counsellor and has got much better.  Do you think you need your HRT dose adjusting?  Sounds like this could be low estrogen? 25 patches are a very low dose.  Are you on testosterone?  I know it's really really difficult to get from drs and I had to pay private in the end.  I really know how you feel.  I found myself in a very dark place a few years ago.  You're not alone and if you need to talk I'm happy to listen xx

Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time KaraShannon. All l can say is that the tremors are ghastly. I had them for years, starting in peri. I’m now 10 years on and they’ve finally packed their bags and gone!! Worst meno symptom by far for me.

I would add that l have never been on HRT of any kind. Maybe that would have helped. Who knows.

I just came here to search tremor and found my own thread started last year.  I've had it again, this time feeling a chattering in my jaw also (not visible to anyone else) and feel like I'm tripping over my words a bit, not enough to be a huge problem, and people are not noticing it, but I feel like I'm having to deliberately think about what I'm saying.

needless to say it's scary, I will let the doctor know, I'm about to get a blood test for hormones this week so will go from there. 

I've noticed just when I start worrying about it, it soon stops for a while.  I do hope it's hormones.

Interesting what you've said about testosterone, I have wondered if I'm really low on that due to low energy, muscle weakness and fatigue etc.

Sorry I am dragging this one back up but I was looking to see of anyone else was suffering with these absolutely awful tremors I keep getting, in a strange way seeing other people have the same symptoms helps to calm you down a bit, i woke up at 6am this morning and the tremors and the feeling in my stomach kept me from going back to sleep, I feel very off and today is going to be a long day of overthinking im sure, I hope you ladies who was on this post are doing well and the tremors are a thing of the past, no doubt replaced by something else quite as awful mind you!

I am getting these tremors and actually had one this morning! This is after 10 weeks of increased sandrena gel.

I took a propananol as it was more centre around my chest whereas usually it can be in my stomach.

I feel maybe my gel needs increasing slightly but it is an awful feeling.  You have my sympathies.

Earlier in this thread l said that my tremors had gone, but they come back at stressful times. I think it’s all to do with anxiety with me. Buildup to Christmas, lots to do etc. l just try to tell myself that it’s nothing to worry about and it will pass, but it’s horrible and you have my sympathies.

Hi i had one yesterday morning and spent most of yesterday crying and feeling like I am actually ill and its not menopause symptoms, I wake up between 3am and 6am and feel wretched, my stomach is just twisted and the tremors and also absolutely exhausted, im not on any hrt but thinking I quite possibly need some, so sorry you are going threw this also, its absolutely awful 😞

I had an hip replacement in September and feel this has brought on what I am feeling now, I didnt feel like this before the op, but I feel absolutely awful, my sleep is bad, the tremors, constantly want to cry, I just want to lie in bed and stay home, what a horrible time for me this is! I spend most the day trying to convince myself I am not seriously ill and the rest the time fearing I am ill 😞 feel so awful the things us ladies have to go threw all our life

The only thing that gets me through a bad tremor day is keeping very busy. I had a bad day yesterday so l went for a long walk in the morning, did a bit of shopping, wrapped some presents and then cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. Radio on, music blasting out. It gets me through and makes me think that it’s nothing that serious. By the end of the day, the tremors have passed and today l’m fine. No answers, but this is now l cope.

I feel slightly better when im kept busy but I definitely still feel the low hum of throat tremors when im doing things or even talking to someone, its such a horrible feeling, really very unpleasant, do you have them often? I feel like its happening everyday, I need to find a way to get this symptom gone

I can go for weeks or even months without them, but suddenly l’ll get a spate of them. I do wonder if it’s due to the gradual depletion of oestrogen and my body adjusting accordingly. I probably should have taken HRT years ago 🤷‍♀️

I haven't took any hrt as my symptoms have only just started, I really dont like medication but this is just absolutely awful, hoping it goes very soon, feel like I am going to be in for a rough ride
