I'm 60; and still getting symptoms
« on: June 29, 2025, 03:19:35 AM »

Hi I'm 60 now and still get symptoms some night not all the time but in stages.  But I have noticed is the more symptoms the worse my facial hair grows. I will talk about this in a different post.  I have recently lost my husband which is devistating he was 66. And my soulmate. I am a positive person and this will not dictate the rest of my life, but the menopause and everything it throws at you is more troublesome. Trying to control my body image and feel attractive again is my new objective. I will enjoy meeting like members who understand

Sorry that your husband has died at such a young age.  Something that I dread .........  :-\

What support do you have overall?  The Change can throw up lots of issues, I believed it to be loss of periods and a few hot flushes: which many medics seem to think too!

There is no 'road' for peri-menopause, those years that throw un-expected symptoms.  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.  In the last 5 years I've had to alter my diet drastically as I have suffered slow bowel transit and my gut began to react with bloating to i.e. croissants, scones, so DH - my Chef ;-0 - has added more veg to our daily foods.

Which is your worst symptom?
