Out of interest I’ve just looked up if CloudRX supply for NHS prescribers and an AI overview says they do……

Is it a case of “we are all equal but some are more equal than others” ?

I imagine CloudRX are paying top dollar for remaining supplies.

And I imagine they are prioritising their bigger clients (ie Newson).   I had someone sniffy who works in the NHS telling me that there is definitely no UK availability even privately and someone saying that they had rung the private pharmacies but nobody had any Estradot.

It's not right at all.

I totally agree - it seems the health service is now even more a two tier service and that's very wrong.

Yes, the Randox Tasso thing is really cool because you can do an at-home test still, easily on whatever day of your cycle you want to - and it's only about £45 which is way cheaper than any other private test I can find for a complete hormone panel... The results don't say anything about what sort of test it was (finger prick, venous, arm etc).

I've tested with a Tasso and then a couple weeks later a venous draw and the results are comparable (because I have to do venous for thyroid at the moment so I often take along a female hormone test to do as well, because I just pay for one draw however many vials they fill)... I have my Newson appointment tomorrow so if the results get questioned I'll let you know.

All I would say is that it can sometimes take the blood a while to get flowing into the tube after you stick it on your shoulder. Once I even was on the phone to them, telling them nothing was coming out... when it started coming out. So just be patient if it takes a while.

Thank you for your replies. I've booked an appointment with Jane at Newson health but it isn't til the end of the month, seems she's a popular lady which has to be a good thing . There's another complication now, I have some femseven from the gp and I seem to absorb a lot more than estraderm so blood tests may not be helpful atm.
Joziel - are estradot (or anything else) from newson a similar price to online pharmacies or are they cheaper as you already have a prescription?
 I think it's probably too late now but a years supply of estradot works out similar or less than Newson appointments... From some of the travel forums it seems you can buy supplies for long term travel as the nhs will rarely supply enough. It seems femseven may be an option for me but I haven't got to 7 days yet so I don't know if they'll last the week, just my luck that they're the most expensive ones!

I'm not sure how much Estradot at other online pharmacies cost privately, but I couldn't find any - so it was a moot point. I've scoured the internet for many hours and filled out all kinds of forms to be prescribed HRT only to be told further down the line that they don't have Estradots in stock.

So - who cares how much they are if they're not available   

With Newson you either pay £37 for a one off prescription (each time you want something) and have to order via Newson/your doctor there each time - or you pay £70 for an annual prescription fee which covers everything you need for a year - and you can order directly from CloudRX the pharmacy then, not via Newson.

Hopefully you're not going to need an entire year of Estradots, hopefully they are coming back into stock slightly now and by January this will all be over. You can get 3 months at a time from CloudRX/Newson, so you can always see if the NHS has any for you before you order via Newson/CloudRX. I've just got my NHS prescription changed back to Estradots for this reason.

Have you heard of Diane Danzebrink from https://www.mymenopausecentre.com/five-mins-five-qs/diane-danzebrink/ she gives Estardot update on instagram. It's terrible women cannot get the patches they want. I stick with Evorel but I understand it does not suit everyone. The patches feel like they're welded on and I don't look forward to peeling them off, and also, I have had the odd irritation. It's odd how we all react differently.

I know it stinks. I use evorel, but I know that doesn't suit everyone. Well, it might not suit me, I'll know this week when bloods come back. I need 150. I see Dr at end of month. I don't feel as if I am on 150 as 100 used to work in peri.
