Gum tenderness from hrt?

I'm really hoping someone can help with this as I'm not sure what's going on.
So I switched to the lenzetto spray a couple of months ago. All was fine for a few days but I noticed my gums were really sore and tender. Decided to go back on the gel and the same thing is happening on this. All is fine until a few hours after applying and then I get really sore tender gums mainly on one side of my mouth. I'm not sure really what's going on. I'm on 4 pumps of gel so max really I've been on. All my other symptoms have gone including vaginal dryness which was quite bad. The only other symptom is I feel a bit anxious and irritable again.

It could be the toothpaste - SLS - the foaming agent in many washing products. I've had to stick to sensadyne paste otherwise my mouth burns: bananas, chocolate, cheese, butter ............ immediately!
What R U using for the VA?

It's probably a good idea to get checked out at the dentist to rule out gum disease. Better to err on the side of caution in case it's not related to the change in HRT.

Is it just the gums or is the jaw also sore? When I increased my oestrogen too quickly I started to experience jaw pain. It's supposed to be caused by low oestrogen but obviously I increased my dose too quickly (from 150 to 200). I have dropped my dose and am slowly increasing it. I got relief from pain medication and exercising the jaw. Not sure if this will help with your gums but maybe it's something to do with the oestrogen dose. Can't hurt to see a dentist though.

I agree about trying the Sensodyne toothpaste they do several types to suit what is going on.
Hope you are registered with a dentist to go and see it is not easy in our county.
Are you under any stress ? Something I’ve always found if going on at the time can bring on sensitivity in my teeth/gums.

Just a thought, for me, my gums became really sensitive when I changed my progesterone dose from one utrogestan tablet to two. When I reduced my dose back to one tablet my gums got better. Have you recently increased your progesterone? My patch strength is 75 and a recent scan showed one tablet gives me enough protection.

Interesting topic - slight meander here: this has jogged memories. Prior to wisdom tooth removal my gums and those back teeth would ache at certain times of the month - can't remember where in my cycle I was at that time.
After the teeth were removed every month for 3-4 years the sockets ached so badly that DH sieved food for several days
