Thanks for doing the maths, Minusminnie, it really helps.
Right from the start two a week was never going to be enough for me, I was lucky I had a great GP at the time who said daily was fine but my goodness further down the line trying to explain to other medics is just a headache.

I doubt very much if they have bothered doing a survey on how successful or not the 10mcg pessary is as women's health is low on the agenda, although I do always wonder how on earth did Gina ever become available to buy over the counter for a condition that seems to be one great big secret.
Not one of the large nursing staff at my previous surgery had ever heard of it, like many I was given antibiotics for a bladder infection.

Hello All,

Does anyone feel like the vaginal burning and stinging is in one area just inside a little ways?

I had been using Vagifem twice a week for
a year, recently went to 3 times a week, with not much improvement.  My Gyn gave me Imvexxy to try to see if it would help more than the Vagifem.    I have used it twice and felt better the day I used it but the next day the awful burning was back.

None of the topical moisture products seem to help much and I have yet to find a topical estrogen cream of any strength that does not burn like crazy.

Thank you for reading this.  Look forward to any suggestions.

Vagifem and Imvexxy are the same from what I have read.
The burning and dragging feeling is all around, its all sensitive nerve endings down there and its gives you the impression that you have a bladder infection, everything is affected.
I also find that Estriol cream burns but I always mix it with Yes moisturiser which helps and it soon calms down.

You simply might need to up the dose of pessary as many of us have to, I am daily pessaries and Estriol cream.

Thank you Ayesha.  Yes Vagifem and Imvexxy are both 10 mcg Estradiol.  The imvexxy is a gel capsule with the estrogen in an oil base.  It is supposed to dissolve more quickly so the medication gets where it is needed faster.  I have now used the Imvexxy two days in a row.  Waiting and hoping for a pain free day.

I tried mixing the estriol cream with Yes
but it stung so much I had to rinse it off.
How long does the stinging last when you use it mixed?  I so much wanted to use it on urethra.

That is so annoying and you might be one of the women that can't tolerate the cream.
There is a low dose oestrogen cream that might be better for you, I think its called Blissel, I know some women here do use it.

Yes, it’s so disappointing that the creams burn so much.  Don’t need to add fire to fire.  Unfortunately,  they don’t sell Blissel where I live.
I’m looking into a compounded formula using a gel base.  I know compounded is not ideal but my Gyn did approve of trying.  I feel I must keep trying to find something I can tolerate.
