Any post meno women who are taking 100mg utrogestan and had their blood progesterone serum levels measured? Mine are about 5 but no idea if that's normal or if not absorbing as well as could be.

It's not useful at all clinically to measure progesterone levels in this situation.

Efficacy can be inferred by the absence of unscheduled bleeding, and if you are really concerned you can have a pelvic scan to check endometrial thickness.

Thanks, yeah I'd read around since posting and come to same conclusion..But that said,if utrogestan has other benefits other than womb protection,Id be curious if I was absorbing enough for it to be theraputic  and be getting optimal benefits from my 100mg

Other benefits would be subjective.

Apart from endometrial protection there is no current evidence for progesterone improving any other health outcome, and in fact those lucky enough to be able to take estrogen alone fare better across all measurable outcomes studied - breast cardiovascular cognitive etc.

That's not to say nobody benefits in terms of mood, sleep etc but this is something you evaluate clinically, not based on a blood level.

There is no defined therapeutic target level on blood tests so you would not know what you were aiming for.

I personally will be taking the lowest amount that protects my endometrium unless the evidence changes.
