Hello
In 2014 I started HRT and my oestrogen dose was titrated upwards to 100mcg.
I still have a womb so progesterone was added, micronised.
I started bleeds in 2018, so my GP reduced my oestrogen 3 times and the bleeds stopped.
I (thought) I was happy at this dose, but symptoms slowly crept back in, and as I was already on HRT and looking to "get through the menopause" and by the end of last year I was fed up.
I went back to the Dr in November, my oestrogen was upped to 50mcg, testosterone added in, then in February my Dr increased the oestrogen again, still no bleeds, but improvement was really slow.
When I had my follow up Dr appointment in early March, I'd had a hormone blood test in February, and she advised my oestrogen was low at 112 and was happy for me to go back up to 100mcg.
She also said if I need to, in a month I can go up to 125 and then, again, 150 in another month if symptoms persist. I see her again in September.
I thought all would be well, because in the past, in peri, 100mcg was my optimal dose, but not this time.
I know there has been a manufacturer change of evorel and wondered if anyone noticed the evorel under the new manufacturer is weaker?
I thought postmenopausal women needed less oestrogen.
Thank you
