Hello everyone,
I am a new member. Firstly I would like to thank you all for contributing such brilliant topics I have loved going through and reading everyone's posts.
I am a 47 year old who up until a few years ago was a healthy, vibrant, fit and not anxious person.
I got diagnosed with SVT around 5 years ago. Never had any heart issues before and then suddenly started having random sudden heart rates of 210bpm they would only last a few minutes and then back to normal.
They made me feel horrible at the time but I would push through. Forward October 2023 and I ended up having an ablation done as I was getting them last for longer and they started to affect my life.
Ablation went horribly and the DR informed me that he hit my vegas nerve It took me almost 2 months to live my life again.
In between all of this I was getting severe night sweats, brain fog to the point I would walk into the supermarket and then forget what I needed.
Periods longer and so painful, burning tongue sensation, sore boobs, tingling legs, bloated, nausea, digestive issues, vertigo, migraines and weirdly freezing cold episodes during the day where nothing can warm me up. I am sure I am ticking a lot of peoples lists with my symptoms.
Not once was peri menopause suggested until October last year when all off a sudden my blood pressure started going really high 180/100
with heart rate going crazy at the same time around the 180-190bpm. i sent smoke or drink eat healthy and am of a really thin build It would happen randomly and for no explained reason.
Ended back up in emergency where thankfully I was assigned an amazing heart specialist who after monitoring me for 4 days and watched the fluctuations occur put it all done to peri menopause. He started me on beta blockers and refereed me to a hormone specialist.
The beta blockers have helped with the heart rate but my blood pressure still hits and hits hard. Due to the ablation surgery that was horrible I am now left with extreme health anxiety so when ever my blood pressure decides to go up my whole side where my heart sits gets extremely tight and feels almost like it is inflamed. I have been on HRT now for 3 months and have noticed it's helping with a lot of the other symptoms but not so much with the heart and blood pressure issue.
I am also starting to see a psychologist next week to see if the symptoms will decline with less anxiety.
I have never been on anti anxiety meds but the Dr feels that is my next step.
My main questions for this brilliant group is
Does anyone else feel like they are dying when their heart rate goes crazy and blood pressure goes high?
Do you get an inflamed feeling around your heart going down into your arm and back?
From these symptoms is your anxiety so high you stop living your life?
And lastly has anyone had this and with time it has got better?
I am a ghost of the person I use to be and i want to be that strong, fit, outgoing person again.
Massive thank you in advance
