Hrt gel and Ovestin?

Hi, I have finally got around to getting a prescription for hrt gel. My doctor says I can carry on using Ovestin too. Is this common amongst other users in here?

Yes, you can have systemic HRT plus local topical estrogens.

Yes I currently use both.

The GP said that at some point (once gel dosage is correct for me) I might find I don't need ovestin too.  Will wait and see.

Thanks so much.  I am feeling a bit anxious about going on it. My symptoms are not as obvious as they are for some but I am definitely coping less well with life than I usually do.  And lack of sleep is so wearing! Thanks again

My sleep improved immediately as did the night sweats.  Poor sleep starts affecting your whole life so very important!
