Just wanted to share that I did a slightly silly thing which I am not going to do again.
I’m 5 years post meno and I’ve been on tibolone (oral HRT) for 11 months now - the reason I’m on it is because conventional oestrogen–progesterone patches/pills resulted in quite heavy bleeding. Various investigation show I have sub-mucosal fibroids that seem to be very sensitive and reactive.
All has been excellent on the tibolone until last week when I forgot to take one pill. I have only done this once before in 11 months and just skipped it as the instructions advise.
This time I wondered what would happen if I took two pills together, so in my wisdom, I did.
48 hours later I had a tiny, tiny amount of spotting.
Everything has been fine since then and I directly attribute this as a one-off to my poor decision so I’m not worried about it and won’t be reporting it to my GP. But I do seem to be treading quite a fine line in my HRT regime and I certainly won’t be doing anything daft like that again!
