Netflix any1?

I've seen an advert for a film that I would really like to see, it's in Cinemas now and into Netflix next week. But we don't have that!
It's about a group of African/American women sent from the US to England to sort 17 million pieces of mail that hadn't yet been posted to Europe to the US Troops. I don't go the Cinema.

It's called The Sixth Triple Eight I think? We join Netflix when there's something we want to watch and then stop it again. So many choices nowadays and still we sit there some evenings at a loss as to what there is we'd like to watch

You pay monthly. The basic plan is only £4.99 a month.

We don't have Netflix but if you wait long enough its the sort of film that might be shown on BBC I-Player in the future.
Extraordinary that we are only just learning about these American women of colour and their role in the war.

I suppose as government records come to light after a certain number of years, more information will make the News.

They were sent over to sort letters, not something that would be kept secret for long. Black women that didn't matter to society at the time and disregarded, just shocking and difficult to comprehend in today's society.

They were discussing it on The One Show last night. They had the director?? and one of the actresses from the film.
Apparently the women who came over here as part of this were surprised when the locals asked them to tea and actually sat with them and served them rather than expecting to be served
by
them. Totally different experience to what they were used to.
It's now on my list of must see films.

And mine Sunday Girl, yes it was on the 1 Show that I became aware of the film. He was the Director who had interviwed a couple of women who had come over at the time.

Did you manage to see The Six Triple Eight CLKD? I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Watched Rebel Ridge on Netflix the other night. Another good film. An older but still handsome Don Johnson is in it.
