Perimenopause
« on: June 12, 2025, 11:51:43 AM »

Hi new here perimenopause symptoms started when I was 43 I’m 48 now  feel like I’m on a roller coaster one minute I’m fine meal and drink with husband then I’m ripping his head off learnt to cut my drink down  and don’t mix drinks not gud    But even  during the day find my self crying for no reason I’m on hrt tablets.  My sleep is a mess due to hot sweats but also suffer with arthritis so awake with pain most nights.   Is 100mg of uterogestan one a day enough. ? Any advice would be help full

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I think you may have to adjust or even change your HRT, have you a meno savvy Dr or nurse at your practice? Sometimes,it's trial and error but so many women have to alter their hrt until it's right  :)

As you still have symptoms I think you need to increase oestrogen. The amount of utro you need depends on your oestrogen dose, 100mg is enough for a medium dose, for a high dose you need 200. Have you been diagnosed with arthritis? Meno can cause joint pain too, I thought I had it in my hips but when I went on hrt the pain went.
