Hi, so I’m only 31 and I have an autoimmune thyroid condition and had periods every other week for like 2 years from 17-19 so I think I may be in early perimenopause, but every time I mention this to a doctor they immediately say, “No” or, “I wouldn’t worry about it”. So I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced these symptoms in perimenopause because quite frankly, I’m trying to figure out if it’s peri or something else going on.
Discharge: over the last 6-7 months I’ve noticed tons of discharge. Clear, watery, no odor, but tons of it. I’ve had multiple swabs done, they always come back clear- no infections.
Periods: in January of 2024, my periods randomly started only lasting 2 days. In the past couple months, just 1.5 days, if that. They’re almost always on time (at the latest off by a week one month, but for the most part on time or a day or two off). Ovulation seems pretty regular as well.
I’ve been having bad pain on my left side. I’ve been told it’s probably endometriosis, but with these other 2 weird symptoms, I’m wondering if I should push for further testing or if I should accept their endometriosis answer and assume peri menopause and move on.
I have no low libido, no vaginal dryness and I don’t have sex, but use a vibrator and it does not hurt to put it in. I wasn’t sure if those symptoms typically happen when you go through it younger or if that’s just something that happens when you get older.
