Who did U have to battle with to get proper advice? There was advice years++ ago which freaked the medical profession and many women stopped HRT, however those 'results' have long been discredited. Quality of Life is important.
CLKD - the only 'proper' advicehas been on this site and forum tbh! I was given no menopause advice after chemo (for lymphoma) age 47 and was told my symptoms were related to cancer treatment. I now realise had crashed into menopause. GP contacted the Breast clinic at hospital and they advised against HRT. I was put on fluoxetine. When I got to 50 they stopped my annual mammograms because my risk of breast cancer was then regarded 'normal '. So I said in that case I want HRT. I now have osteopenia and have had a hip fracture. My mother and grandmother had severe osteoporosis and I'm more scared of that than cancer tbh. I never did well on the pill, hormones seem to give me low mood and anxiety, but I'm really hoping I can find an HRT that work. I'm prone to anaemia so don't want too much bleeding - I've had 3 significant bleeds I the last 5 weeks 😪
