Feeling human again
« on: January 28, 2025, 07:03:45 PM »

I had a rough time starting HRT, and sank into a big depression toward the end of my first progesterone cycle. After about 10 days I began to see improvement. I started back on the progesterone for my second cycle, and I am pleased to say I didn't go backwards, but the improvement continued! I have just started my third progesterone cycle and am feeling more hopeful this time that I will be able to tolerate it OK.

I have realised that the deep isolation I was feeling does have some basis in truth, and I have started a couple of social activities. Obviously I haven't made any deep connections within such a short space of time, but I have spent enjoyable times with people and I am feeling overall a bit positive about the future.

Physically there are some improvements and some side effects, but it's all quite tolerable. Overall I currently feel physically better than before I started on HRT. So hopefully my body and mind are adjusting to it and I can settle on a regime that works for me.

:foryou:  it takes courage to begin a new routine but at least U can walk away if any of your choices don't work out.  Well done!
