Hi Alibeau,
You have my utmost sympathy suffering with your dry eyes, it’s horrible, I have them too but don’t think as severe as you do and it is still a constant battle to stay on top of keeping them bearable.
Mine started about 18months ago after I had the Mirena fitted (no idea if any connection). Since then I have increased in stages from 50 to a 75patch and now on 100. I have also added Testosterone. In all honesty I don’t actually know if any of these things have helped. I think my eyes may be marginally better but I still can’t wear contact lenses (which drives me nuts) and I can’t sleep without an overnight lubricating thick gel. So they are not getting worse but improvement is minimal I would say.
It felt like it pretty much happened to me over night! Really weird. I don’t know if that’s any help, just my experience.
Big love,
jxx
Aww thanks, sounds like we’re in the same boat.
It’s had such a negative impact on my life, like you I can’t wear contacts, my glasses are like milk bottle bottoms even with the thinnest lenses, my confidence is at rock bottom. Struggling to wear make up as my eyes are either streaming or crusty and dry, it’s a complete disaster….
I try to just get on with it as I feel people will just think I am vain complaining about having to wear glasses but it so much more than that.
I cling into the hope that they seem to be improving a little, I might even chance a check up with my optician to see if they think I could manage wearing contacts just for an hour or two here and there to try to perk myself up a bit. I work from home so I’m happy to wear my specs around the house, it would just be great to be able to put contacts in for the odd trip out….
Sorry for moaning!
Big love to you too xx
