:welcomemm:  why not return to HRT?   It protects bone and heart health.  If you've had benefit previously and when stopping symptoms are awful, what's to lose?

Why were you prescribed ADs - for depression?  Betablockas helped my anxiety surges.

Most of the symptoms may well be peri-menopause. Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use.

Do you mind sharing why you didn't want to continue with HRT? Guidelines nowadays are that women who need HRT to control symptoms of menopause should be allowed it for as long as needed. If you are worried about risks, as you have been using HRT already for some time, it's important to know that the years before the 'natural' age for menopause which is considered to be 51 don't count as you were merely replacing what should have been yours naturally (I'm assuming you had your ovaries removed?).

I'm 70 and have been on patch HRT for 17 years and would hate to give It up. In my opinion it would be worth giving it a try.  If it makes no difference to the way you are feeling then you can stop taking it and at least you'll know that HRT is not the answer. I also have fibromyalgia so I understand how confusing different symptoms can be..

Gp took me off hrt as I had been on them so long and risks...spoke to gp today & as I've only been off them 3mth she suggested time to settle..better blockers for palpitations are working good to so just need to keep a check on bp

Who ever told U that was incorrect under current NICE guidelines.  Ladies can take HRT for life as long as any real risks are explained and accepted as possibilities.

I agree with CLKD unless you have a health condition which makes it inadvisable of course. Useful to know in case you decide that you'd like to start using it again.
