Here we go again!
« on: December 31, 2024, 03:05:34 PM »

Happy New Year everyone! So, I posted on 10th December about my horrible experience with Hysteroscopy (thanks for the replies all) Had a bit of bleeding for a week or so following this which stopped. Although I’ve had no biopsy results I’ve had a letter from the Consultant saying I’ve been removed from the two week wait and that my uterus looked atrophic. I assume this is good news or I wouldn’t have been taken off the 2 week list. Anyhoo - yesterday I started bleeding again. Slightly sore boobs and more bleeding (although not massively heavy as of yet) than that which took me for the Hysteroscopy. Needless to say I’m very nervous about going back for further investigation. Can I safely just ignore this latest round of bleeding if the consultant sees fit to take me off the two week wait list ? I believe cystoscopy is the ‘gold standard’ for spotting anything nasty and she said nothing bad when she did the procedure.

I would ignore it in the sense that you have just had a negative hysteroscopy and are still awaiting biopsy results, so there is absolutely no point repeating these, however I wouldn't be inclined to just put up with it.

Nobody has to bleed at all unless they want to, whatever age or stage you are at, and hormone treatment can easily be tweaked to get rid of it, so I would speak to your prescriber about this.
