New discharge.
« on: December 23, 2024, 10:10:52 AM »

It’s 20 years since my last period and I’ve had a discharge now for about 5 months.
Diagnosed with VA a couple of years ago (I had to suggest it to GP after recurrent UTI as he never suggested it as a possible) taking vagirux/ Vagifem over that time.
Sudden new discharge about 5 months ago having been clear for 20 years. Yellow/ sticky/ causing pubic hair to  go stiff.
Saw GP, swab NAD. Very painful exam was OK but she couldn’t see cervix.

I guess my concern is its sudden appearance after 20 years.
Please, has anyone else had this?

R U able to describe the discharge, is it odourless?

Has your GP sent off swabs to a Lab ?? thrush?

How do U feel overall?

Do U continue to use VA treatment?

The discharge is worse some days than others and I’ve tried to relate that to Vagifem usage but can’t really. I’m using Vagifem every third day and Yes externally daily. It started badly when I was on Vagirux which is why I changed. Probably a bit better on Vagifem. It’s not thick or yeast infection like probably runnier, definitely yellow and makes pants stiff. It is odourless.
Go did swab and it didn’t show anything. Bowels showing slight change towards constipation.
I’m generally OK, bit tired but then it’s manic before Christmas.

It is related to ovulation? I never knew when that happened to me  ::) other than having a white discharge occasionally.

It's a bit quiet on here - perhaps there's Something On ? - hopefully some1 will be along with more experience.

Have sent U a personal message, which you may/not be able to read and may/not be able to respond to  ::). as you are a new member  .

Hi helen2024

It may be worth doing another loading dose of the Vagifem. I occasionally used to get something similar, watery and yellow, and it was fixed by using Vagifem every day for a while.

I only use Yes very occasionally as I find it too watery and it makes me feel damp and sticky all the time.
