If you can't get help from your GP, I would definitely ask for a referral to an NHS menopause clinic, however I would say to anyone who can possibly afford it to consider paying for hormone therapy rather than going without.

Health is wealth in my opinion, and I can think of few things more important to invest in. After all if you aren't well you can't enjoy any of the other things in life.

I'm on a low income myself and I pay for my pill Zoely as it isn't funded by the NHS in Scotland. I would rather do this and have the safest and most suitable treatment for me rather than either nothing or something less suitable just because it's free.
