Newbie! Peri-menopausal and 3 weeks into HRT
« on: November 11, 2024, 11:40:59 AM »

Hi all, I'm 52 with just over a year of symptoms - hot flushes, night sweats, joint pains, foggy brain and difficulty sleeping.

Went to GP approx. 3 weeks ago to deal with the latest symptom of overwhelming sadness and crying just ALL the bleeding time.
GP confirmed peri-menopause and started me on Oestrogen patch with Ustrogen tablets 200mg nights 15-26 and all seems to be going well.

If anyone wants to say hi that would be nice :/

:welcomemm:  Do U feel supported by the GP?  Some find it helpful to keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress and to remember that there are better days.

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  Do read the threads about 'bladder issues' and vaginal atrophy: 4 warned is 4 armed.

Ask away.  We discuss everything here, even menopause ;-).
