Hello
I am going to see my GP to request a blood test for testosterone for all the symptoms I am feeling for the last two years. I'd like E and P testing also. I take 25mcg E and 200mg P (off licence, approved by Gynae and reviewed this year by GP) as I bled.
I'd then like to go to a private clinic to avoid the long wait as I have felt pants for far too long, too pants to get ahead with my chores, exercise, socialise properly, etc etc.
I would like the NHS to test for E and P as well as T, which I can then take to a private clinic, as I can save on test costs, and I would hope if I need more hormones adding like T, the nhs may take on the prescription.
I'm struggling to find a private clinic, one poster on here said she tried 5 different clinics, I have the money to spend on one clinic. I thought Newson, but I hear varied reports as there's so many staff. I hear good and bad things about various clinics and what should have been a couple of hours research, has turned into a few days.
The one nearest me is cheaper, but I want a doctor who will understand my history as it's a bit complex (for another post) and not put barriers in my way, like some private healthcare practitioners seem to have with the experiences of patients online.
Thank you.
